Oh god that was hard I'm sorry it's kind of iffy.

Ryuuzaki liked weak trainers.

  Not because he found them particularly engaging, or worthwhile, but beating them--especially in front of a crowd--made him feel particularly good about himself in ways that hauling thousands of Pokéyen worth of evolution stones and fossils out of the Underground didn’t. Generally, he preyed on female trainers and offered to buy them dinner after he beat them (with their own money, of course).

  He had a good eye for weakness, usually. Bug-type trainers didn’t stand a chance against most of his Dragons and revived Fossil Pokémon, as long as he didn’t lead with Deino. Still, power alone was often enough to beat newbies, and outside of Cool Trainers, not many people carried other Dragons or Ice-types.

  Ryou Bakura should have been easy pickings.

  At first glance, the white-haired youth looked like a girl. The silver-furred Eevee on his shoulder hadn’t helped matters, but as soon as he’d opened his mouth, his gender was obvious. Still, Ryuuzaki swung both ways, on occasion, and there was nothing wrong with variety.

  “I’m sorry, I’m not really looking for a battle,” Ryou had said, looking uncomfortable with the idea. Probably because he thought Ryuuzaki looked dirty. Pretty boys were all like that--not that Ryuuzaki knew many--but that made him want to humiliate him all the more.

  The results hadn’t been what he was expecting.

  Ryou’s team didn’t suit his face; he’d led with a Kirlia that knew Icy Wind, the bastard. When Aerodactyl went down in only two hits, Ryuuzaki realized he was in trouble.

  It hadn’t helped that Ryou’s strategy--otherwise--seemed to be putting things to sleep.

  In the end, Ryuuzaki hadn’t taken out any of the white-haired youth’s team.
