About gay characters
Having gay characters is not bad per se, unless their whole existence is to be "the gay". And it's because it's forced and a monotonous character, not because "gay" is a bad trait (well, this doesnt work for all-rights, of course :)).
This applies to black, Asian, POC or disabled or any so claimed "progressive" characters (because being another race that's not white, gay or disabled is soooo new).
It really pissses me off that people is complaining about Marceline's sexuality. The thing is that she's such a well written character with an interesting past and personality... She being gay or wlw is just one of her traits, not her whole existence.
