This is the first official article to be written by me so let's do this!
This is about how i (and my mother) was able to file successfully for the Licensure Examination for Teachers or LET which is going to happen this March 2020.
To start, I was planning since June 2019 to take the exam on September 2019, but wasn't because of circumstances the Lord allowed. I also was able to do a review at the Carl BalitabRevuew Center (Hello, Sir!) A very good review center (if you are looking for one) which not only allows one to review for the exam, but will refresh your mind so you can use it as you teach your students.
Last January 8, 5AM, we started our journey to San Fernando, Pampanga. I only have 2,000 pesos in my pocket. I could say this is suicidal because I don't have the enough money and requirement. I searched in Google on what should I bring and it only said I should have my PSA (birth certificate), TOR (Transcript of Record). I also asked my colleagues and they said I should bring a passport size picture (and that I must look formal). That's all I got.
At 8 AM, we are able to be in PRC San Fernando, Pampanga. At first I do not know what to do since that was my first time.
So if you are like me who needs guidance, here are come helpful steps.
FIRST STEP: OBSERVE
If you are in an unknown situation, observe what the other applicants are doing. You may also ask the applicants what to do first since they came first before you do.
Before you pay, ready the screenshot of the reference number.
In my case, I did pay first the examination fee which cost me 900 pesos.
Wait for the receipt after you pay. Keep it, you'll be needing it for the next steps.
SECOND STEP: READY YOUR PAPERS
When I say papers, ready your:
PSA (both original and photocopy)
TOR (both original and photocopy)
Passport size picture (That picture MUST have your complete name under it. The photo editor knows how to do this, just simply tell it to him. )
Printed Application Form (never forget this)
Receipt
Permanent Examination and Record Card (if you are a first-timer, you can get this at PRC. Just answer the following and never forget to write it in BOLD letters.)
2 STAMPS (Ask the other applicants what kind of stamp is needed and where to buy this)
THIRD STEP: PATIENCE
You need to bring with you your patience. There will be a lot of struggles, but you can do it. Once you are able to pass all the requirement, wait for the NOA that will be given by PRC's staff.
FOURTH STEP: DONE
A senior high School teacher who is blessed by Him.
Keep the NOA with you. Never, ever leave it somewhere or else you cannot take the exam on the given day.
I am hoping this helped you. Read the other articles (if ever I wrote about other stuffs). God bless you as you take the exam. Claim it!
