Full Moon Blessings! 🌕

This month's full moon is called the Worm Moon. It was thought that the name came from the first sightings of worm casts in spring but the name was later to be discovered to be named after worm like beetle larvae which begin to emerge from the thawing bark of trees and other winter hideouts at this time. 🪲

In the early hours of this morning there was also a Lunar Eclipse (total in the USA/partial here in the UK), also known as a Blood Moon. During a lunar eclipse, the Sun, Moon, and Earth all align so that the Earth comes in between the Moon and Sun. The Earth casts a red shadow on the moon giving it its name of blood moon. 🌕
