I was very convinced today was Christmas and that I had somehow escaped all eve festivities yesterday by falling asleep in the middle of the afternoon. No. I still have to go and do the celebrating. At least we will go to a friend's house to eat homemade Chinese food and toke. Fiancee and I made noodles and started a ramen broth, and started our take on Peking duck (we didn't have the maltose to make it red, so we made an oolong, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, and vinegar sauce to baste it and now it is a lovely brown.) Not sure how I didn't put together that eve food that requires two days to make, being made yesterday, meant today is eve.
Wish me luck. I just had a buder breakfast, am watching an episode of trek, and then will begin making treats for the kids if I can't convince my mother no one wants the Disney ornaments and I should give it to the kids. (they were from my third Christmas, and she was able to get more hours at her job because she found a nice woman to watch me for $100 a month, and somehow she was able to score cheap tickets to Disneyland and bought them on sale, and it means a lot to her, but I remember it as the last Christmas before my bothers bio dad came into the picture and it makes me sad, but she won't take them back because 🎵😿 memories 😿🎵) Because let's be honest, I'm not sure I have ingredients for fudge or cookies and I am not going to the store.
