Alright! So I found out our marching band show theme..drum roll please!........... CIRQUE DU SOLEIL: KA!! I'm so excited for this year, and I have even better news, I made captain this year! Parade camp and rookie camp went really well, we have a great group of girls this year(and sadly no guys:(). I can't wait to start the show, band camp in four days! Exciting!!
Competing Against the Best Bands in the World Apparently
We went to our second competition yesterday. We got straight 2s, which is an improvement since last time but not perfect in the slightest.
I dropped my rifle on my biggest freaking toss.
My captain had her flag facing the wrong way during almost the entire opener.
And the music was just so flat that I almost fell over and died from boredom.
Anyways, it was better than before and I was proud of my girls for all of their hard work. I love them to pieces.
But the bands we went up against looked so amazing I wanted to cry! One guard had capes. Like legit, flowing, black, hooded capes that looked like they were from Harry Potter. And I was so jelly.
