basically, someone who steps in last minute to make sure all the participants of an exchange get something—in the mbb’s case, it’s a fanwork based off their big bang fic! in other exchanges, it might be a last-minute secret santa gift (i did… three of those last year) or a fic for a reverse bang.

fear: raven sometimes doesn’t sleep for fear of what her night terrors will bring about, and when that happens, beastboy is?? miraculously somehow the only one who can annoy her back into some semblance of peace without getting verbally eviscerated in the process. nobody understands, least of all the two themselves, but what works works, and on the very worst nights, sometimes bb can even make her laugh.

fans: while bb gladly embraces (read: launches himself at light speeds at) his fans wherever he finds them, raven spends most of her time desperately trying to ignore that hers exist.

bb finds out about them mostly by accident, and slightly after that, finds out how creepy some of them can get, and starts spending a concentrated amount of time sneaking into every photograph of raven as he can get at.

suddenly, the only photos the stalker-ier fangroups can get their hands on are the ones with a green cat sleeping in raven’s lap, a green crow on her shoulder, a green dog nipping at her cape, a green mouse turning the pages of her book for her—anything goes.

bb’s on his best behavior to get and stay that close to her, so raven doesn’t exactly mind (and he leaves her alone when she asks now, thank azarath), but she does find his clinginess vaguely baffling.

sorry, was flashing back to that one teacher that gave me a D but only put in like 3 red marks on my essay (and not even like ‘take this out, this is shit’ paragraph marks, just like typo corrections and similar)

i cried for like a week after that

fans: pictured, killian dealing with the summer heat in black-leather-clad pirate style—living in absolute denial that it can still get to him after all these years.

pictured: emma introducing him to air conditioning.

pictured: killian standing in front of the unit’s fan, having a religious experience.

fear: emma lives it, breathes it every day of her life, so when she manages to fall asleep in the cabin of the jolly roger without it, it’s a novel experience.

killian isn’t there at the time, sleeping at granny’s and having offered up his ship to emma when she and mary margaret were going through a spat, but he comes back to a blurry-eyed and sleepy-smiled emma trying to figure out his kitchen, sits down at the tiny table of his galley, and lets himself dream for a moment.

(both taking place somewhere between s2 and s3 if i’m remembering my chronology right)
