Samson would be surprised, to say the least.  He's probably thought of it, too, because that's just what he does; it's not overthinking, but he wonders how platonic feelings lend themselves to romantic ones.  That being said, once the surprise wore off, he would think it was something like a joke on Marcia's part.  Their personalities only work well as just friends and it would probably ruin it.  He'd hope the feeling would pass, since saying “I love you” is more his speed without any little complications coming after it.

tbh; i have no idea what it's like be a girl—or a walters—but i think you're really cool, even though i have no idea what you're saying half of the time.  i don't get a lot of that stuff, but yeah.  i think you don't have to be the bartender at your party to be everyone's favorite, either, and thanks for not ripping out my jugular when i tried talking to you for the first time.
