Oh my Australian-ness is finally coming in handy. I remember I was in like, grade 6 when I got my pen license, and I got a little laminated card that said I had basically earnt the right to use a pen on my school work. Before anyone got their pen license, literally no one was allowed to use pens. It was literally all in pencil, and it sucked balls because pencils back then were so shit and they constantly broke and they didn't even do their job it was so terrible.
Wow, that’s really interesting! I never had anything like that, and as far as I know no one else in America does that either! It just kinda happened one year that all of my teachers suddenly said that we had to write in pen. If they had to grade it, it had to be in blue or black ink. Even before that, we were allowed to use pens.It was a preference thing, really. Except for math. All math was done in pencil. On pain of death.

gosh it's not very productive but i rant and rant and rant to anyone who would listen. sometimes when i'm the frustrated kind of angry i just end up watching some anime to calm me down or reading fic or whatever. but usually i either rant (like i mentioned) or i let the anger stew inside of me.
