𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗞𝗲𝘆𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 Marcrist kindly sent me out one of their quick keyless angle grinder flanges to try out and use with their awesome 850 series cut off discs. This is the first time i have used a keyless flange on an angle grinder, and i now want another for my other grinder! I know these are nothing new, and there are other manufacturers making these, but the quality of this Marcrist flange is spot on. Having the ability to swap out discs easier and faster is more productive, And also cuts down time looking for that misplaced flange key! The keyless flange has a knurled outer edge for grip, and a sprung base with dimpled surface to resist vibration and hold the disc securely. Marcrist Cut off Discs @marcrist_uk , one of the leading manufacturers of abrasives , kindly sent me a pack of their 850 Professional cut off discs to try out! The 850 professional discs come as a pack of 10 in a tin, which helps keep them safe from being damaged (they are very thin) and stops them getting mixed up with other discs. I used a section of tooth gear or track rail to cut through, being almost 1” thick and using my @dewalttoolsuk flexvolt grinder, i thought this would be a good test! But also, it would be exactly how i would normally use a cut off disc in the real world. The 850 professional cut off discs are very thin (1mm) but are surprisingly stiff, with little to no deflection felt. As you can see, it didn’t take long to cut through the solid steel rail & gave a very consistent and clean cut with no burring, burning or discolouration. These cut off discs are great!
