Characters whose look I’m (probably) going to change when they add barbershop to ESO.

1) Gaston: maybe give him a haircut or something.  I have too many male characters with ponytails in general, it’s kind of a problem.

2) Nero: maybe.  I’m going to attempt to make him look somewhat more like his new faceclaim, but considering the chargen limitations I probably won’t.

3) Marcus: probably change his hair colour, because while he’s greying, he’s not grey-haired.  Also change facial hair, maybe skin colour, and also maybe change his name to Lysander like I’d originally intended to change his actual name (not his alias) to, but promptly forgot.

4) Lahz: add “the Goblin” to his name.  Maybe also change his name to Styx because who the hell cares if there’s a game with it already.

5) Kelda: officially the second character I created, but I barely had any idea what she actually looked like until after the character creation because it had bugged the hell out.  So a minor makeover for her.

6) Largrush: but only if they add extra face paints.

7) Liaren: give her the smaller horns; maybe change her hairstyle.

8) Yan: I’m getting kind of sick of being asked if I’m RPing as Darth Maul, because ???????  So maybe change it to the skull one or something idk.

So, with the upcoming new armour sets and styles, I ought to update what my toons are going to be wearing when they hit the level cap.

Gaston:

Probably going to stick with ancient elf for now, at least until he can wear the necromancers outfit.

That said, there's no necromancer set for v14 so??????  Yeah maybe ancient elf.  He looks good in white.

He also needs to match his lady love.  It's a rule or something.

Not sure about staff style, but ancient elf is pretty so probably that.

Nero:

Again, probably going to stick with the ancient elf heavy/daedric light legs thing he's got going on.  I need to work on the colours more than anything with him.

Ancient elf or altmer sword and board, maybe orcish resto staff.

Lysandys:

Imperial chest plate, medium Imperial arm cops, light Imperial hands, feet, hood, and belt, daedric light legs.

It's based loosely on the Stonefire cult's outfit, only in Caedron colours, and I think I did a good with that.

I may change the hood to the Dark Brotherhood hood when that set eventually comes out, if only because it has both a mask and a mantle in the concept art.  It may not actually work with the rest of his armour, but we shall see.

Hell, I'd also love to use the daedroth Undaunted set, considering Molag Bal cultist and the armour's ability to summon a fucking daedroth.  I'd probably hide the helmet 'cause it's highly unlikely he'd willingly wear it, but goddamn I want that daedroth summon.

Either bosmer, barbaric or primal restoration staves (I like the ones that look like they have soul gems on the end for him).

If I decide to stick with 2-handed, probably either daedric, Imperial, or Argonian.

Lexie:

I originally said storm knight set, but I'm not 100% sure on that.  Definitely Breton gear with the khajiit heavy helmet, though.  Because lioness.

Breton sword and board, Breton or dwemer bow.

Alyanna:

I was thinking maybe the Undaunted Infiltrator set for her, if not the eventual Morag Tong set.  I'm really looking forward to the chitin Morag Tong set, especially if it ends up looking even remotely like the concept art.

Bosmer longswords, and I'm not even sure what I'm going to stick with for her backup weapon let alone what style it'll be.  Maybe a dunmer resto staff idk.

Farwil:

Not 100% on the helmet, but definitely the Imperial Daedric heavy set when it gets unleashed into the game.

The helm from the base daedric set looks vaguely Auroran-y, so maybe stick with that.  Not that it really matters, I guess, considering I'm probably going to hide the helmet on her.

Maybe ancient elf heavy helm?  Not sure.

Possibly an ancient elf greatsword if I can't get my hands on the same style as the Prismatic weapon.  I believe that one is either Akaviri or Yokoudan.

That said, Aurorans typically use greataxes, so maybe either a dwemer or Imperial greataxe.

Ri'Zanna:

I've wanted something pirate-y for her from the start; sadly there isn't really anything pirate-y in the game as of yet.

Maybe the medium Undaunted set?  Maybe dwemer medium set?  Who knows?

Although the Redguard medium armour seems sort of piratey.  Not sure about the pauldrons, though.

Redguard swords.  And I think I've got a bow as a backup so probably a khajiit bow.

Lahz:

It really doesn't matter what he wears because of the goblin disguise, which gives him barbaric by default, so I'll probably stick with that for simplicity's sake.

Also maybe the Blood Spawn's Guise set.  Or that one set which drops a healing totem that I can't remember the name of.

Either a primal or barbaric bow (and tbh I prefer the look of the primal one, so probably that), and barbaric or argonian resto staff.

Lysandys Lysander is the one who sanctions the order for his granddaughter to be a sacrifice in a ritual for Molag Bal.

By the time the events of ESO roll around, she'll be about seventeen.  But I think(?) there's about a year between the sacrifice and the events of ESO.

So I can just imagine Bernard and Janica "celebrating" her birthday without her.

Bright, light blue to start.  Red or white as a vampire.

He’s about 35-ish when he’s turned.  By the events of ESO he’s about in his eighties.

3. One strange thing/quirk/defining characteristic of their body or physical appearance.

He’s… not really that notable, to be honest.  I mean he’s kind of short, but most Bretons are, so uh.

4. One strange thing/quirk/defining characteristic of their personality

Idk the love of forbidden magics is pretty up there, I think.

5. How their parents met.

His father was a relatively high-ranking minor noble (if that makes any sense it’s 04:00 what do you want from me) from Daggerfall, his mother was the daughter of a pretty powerful merchant lord; their respective parents were friends, and they were promised as children.

6. Who their first love was, and why they loved them

It’s likely he became infatuated with some lord’s daughter, or stable boy, or whatever when he was younger, but nothing really memorable, and nothing he would really describe as “love”.

7. How/why I came up with the concept for them

Because I wanted a Breton, wine-obsessed necromancer.  Breton isn’t really a race a play that often so I wanted to have a change.  The vampirism came later, and theN YOU MADE LISELLE FOR GIGGLES AND IT PRETTY MUCH JUST SPIRALLED OUT OF CONTROL.

8. Who they eventually end up with

Liselle, briefly Vianne, briefly various others.  Liselle is the One Constant in his life.

While he’s not really big on animals in general, I’d say he’s definitely a cat person.

Uh.  His parents both died when he was 19 or so, leaving him as the sole heir to the family estate.

He got into necromancy by finding a tome by complete accident at the Mages Guild library.

Alexis Monfort

1. The colour of their eyes.

Depends on the light; sometimes they’re blue, sometimes they’re green, sometimes they’re anything between that.

2. How old they are.

17.  She’s a baby.

3. One strange thing/quirk/defining characteristic of their body or physical appearance.

Again, pretty nondescript, but she does have a pretty obviously Caedron nose.

4. One strange thing/quirk/defining characteristic of their personality

Her hopeless optimism.

5. How their parents met.

Her father Bernard Monfort was one of the bodyguards of a Breton ambassador on a visit to the Imperial City; her mother Janica Caedron was a daughter of Lysandys Caedron, brother to the Count of Skingrad, Ronos Caedron.   Janica’s father took her and likely one or more of her siblings with him to the Imperial City while he was there on business.

After a few months and several trips to the City later, she found she was pregnant and they decided to run off to Wayrest together.

6. Who their first love was, and why they loved them

Her first love is the Covenant army.  Ever since she was a kid she wanted to join the guard.

7. How/why I came up with the concept for them

Honestly, in short, I just wanted a reason to use the Khajiit heavy helmet.  Also, to my surprise, I’d not rolled an Imperial prior to rolling Lexie, which is truly amazing considering they’re my favourite (human) race.

8. Who they eventually end up with

Not really decided on that?  She’s still pretty young.

9. Their favourite animal.

She loves dogs and horses.

She’s loyal to Emeric first and the Covenant second.

She doesn’t try to make a habit of helping the enemy, but if she sees someone in danger or hurt, she’ll do what she can to help, regardless of their allegiance.  Unless they try to kill her, in which case they’re on their own.

Marcus Polus/Lysandys Lysander Caedron

1. The colour of their eyes.

Dark green.

2. How old they are.

In his mid to late sixties.

3. One strange thing/quirk/defining characteristic of their body or physical appearance.

He’s got a pretty horrific burn scar down the side of his face, neck, shoulder, arm, and hip.  This is from Titan fire, from a summoning gone wrong.

4. One strange thing/quirk/defining characteristic of their personality

His insatiable need to stick his nose into everyone’s business, and know what’s going on everywhere, with everyone.

5. How their parents met.

I’m… not actually sure on that.  If it’s been mentioned before I’ve either missed it or forgotten.

6. Who their first love was, and why they loved them

His first love was sneaking around and generally being a nuisance.

7. How/why I came up with the concept for them

I wanted to make a Molag Bal cultist.  And somehow he got absorbed into your mass of characters and it’s great.

8. Who they eventually end up with

A minor-ish Colovian noble, Marcella Dexus.  It worked out surprisingly well.

9. Their favourite animal.

Foxes.  Though he also loves hounds, and his ornery old mare, Agrippa.

10. Two question of your choice – anything you want!

He hates being the centre of attention – anything that requires being in the limelight, so to speak, he usually leaves to either his brother or his wife.

If he wasn’t a devout Molag Bal worshipper, he’d either be a worshipper of Hermaeus Mora, or Namira.

Jovus Hassildor you’ve already asked me before so uh

Eh, I could do the 2 extra things.

1) One of his jobs back in the day required him to do a stint in the Imperial army, posing as an Imperial battlemage.  It was there he learned how to summon bound weapons; a skill he uses surprisingly often.

2) His favourite jobs to do are ones that require playing a part.  He loves the research and acting required in getting as close to a target as possible, and killing them when they drop their guard.

Bjorn Bear-Hand

1. The colour of their eyes.

Very light brown, almost to the point of being yellow.

2. How old they are.

During the events of Skyrim, he’s 29.

3. One strange thing/quirk/defining characteristic of their body or physical appearance.

He’s cartoonishly big and bulky.  He’s literally a giant teddy bear.  He’s also got a pretty bad scar on the left side of his face from a werebear attack, which also caused him to lose his left eye.

4. One strange thing/quirk/defining characteristic of their personality

While he much prefers to do the right thing, he has absolutely no problems with someone else doing the wrong thing.  A prime example is his being “meh” about Sigrid being a member of the Thieves Guild.  With this in mind, their relationship kind of reminds me of Cap and Natasha.

5. How their parents met.

His mother, Sonja Rock-Knocker was a wandering knight, who just happened to find herself in Dawnstar.  His father was a fisherman.  They just sort of… clicked.  And then she never left.

6. Who their first love was, and why they loved them

Probably some other kid when he was growing up.  Because that’s a thing.

7. How/why I came up with the concept for them

I wanted a Stormcloak, and I really don’t play Nords as often as I should.  It made sense to me to have an actual Nordic Dovahkiin.  I based him on Nordic berserkers, what with the bear pelt and literal bear transformation (WEREBEAR).

8. Who they eventually end up with

Katria.  THE POWER OF MODS COMPELS YOU.

Bears Anything that isn’t a dragon.

If the Thalmor weren’t such assholes and didn’t outlaw Talos worship, he’d probably still be in Dawnstar fishing like his dad.  He actually loves that life, and is pretty good at it, too.

He doesn’t like riding; he’s always afraid he’s going to break the poor horse’s back.
