Sorg and Stindl about Miro

The DFB is killing me today and I need to tell everyone so you’ll have to deal with my horrible translations: (Sorg is okay, but can Lars please stop using idioms?)

Marcus Sorg on how Miro is helping the team and what he’s doing:

“”Well, there aren’t a lot of coaching teams that have a world cup record goalscorer on their team, so that alone already speaks for his qualities, his experiences that he can impart on the players.

All in all we have divided the players among the co-coaches, so that the players can be optimally looked after, so that means everyone (of the co-coaches) has a few players, that he permanently accompanies, so that the players are well looked after and we can also tell them some things off the pitch. Miro is responsible for the strikers.

And I think that that huge amount of experience that he has is very very valuable for us, because he knows a different perspective on the things, that we other coaches simply don’t have” (source)

Also Lars Stindl had some things to say about Miro:

“What he tells us has a lot of sense, he is a big personality. He sometimes intervenes in the middle of training, I didn’t know that before. You really absorb everything! Miro has experienced a lot of things and can pass that on to us.”

also he says a coach specifically for strikers makes sense

“Every team has goalkeeping coach -  a striker coach makes just as much sense. Up there in the box, that’s the most important part” (source) (source)
