I knew my writing resources post was going to blow up in my notifs but not like this. In 18 hours since I posted it, it has gotten a third of the total notes the original masterlist did over 6 months.

this 👆 has happened to me before. Never ever! And I'm loving all the thanks and commentary in the tags. They're making my day. I hope everyone who liked or reblogged it takes full advantage of those resources and writes a lot.

since i answered that Spotify wrapped ask, all i've been listening to is The Story So Far's last two albums and holy shit i forgot how fucking good they are

i will never understand how some of y'all can just write fic for lore-rich fandoms without feeling compelled to do hours of research to make sure you get all the details right.

what is it like to not stress over every minor detail? like i am looking at family trees, alliances, names... all of it. i haven't even written a sentence of the fic yet, nor have i finished fleshing out the details.

but i think that attention to detail is really what makes the story feel immersive and i would be angry with myself if i didn't do it lol

it also helps to have a resident expert in the subject on hand for any and all questions you may have. @acrossthesestars is literally a godsend today and every day.

just the other day, i breathed a little sigh of relief over my chronic stomach pain issues seemingly being in remission for a bit because i haven't had a flare up in ages...

and yet... here i am, no more than 48 hours later, with a heating pad on my stomach, trying to od on pro/prebiotics in the hope that i get even a smidge of relief.

i hate this life so much.
