“Love is constant.”
That is what they say. What they don't tell you is the rest of that story. It is not as reassuring. The phrase is meant to warm withering hearts and lift the spirits in times of woe and despair. Told to soldier's wives and husbands. Pirate wenches. Noble ladies and gents. It does not matter what walk of life you are from. At some point, you will hear it be said. Read aloud as if to gently stroke one's soul much the same way one's lover would caress one's cheek.
But. They really should. It goes...
“Love is constant. An endless stream with it's weak and strong currents. It's splits and divides. Connects and circles. An ever present necessity to water the gardens of our lives.”
