[Margaret] That’s all? Detention for a week? [Amelia] Yes. Since she was only seen pushing her and it was ‘the first time she had ever done something like that’. I would’ve had her expelled. [Amelia] When I asked Emilia why she hadn’t told us kids were picking on her, she said she just wanted to fit in and make friends. Which is another thing that worries me. I don’t think she has many friends. [Margaret] Have they made fun of her before? [Amelia] Only once. At least, that’s all I’m aware of. [Margaret] Maybe she’s just close to a small group at school. [Margaret] Maddie is social but she’s only close to other four girls from her class. She goes to her friends' houses every week. [Amelia] I’ve... actually never met Emilia’s friends other than Paula. [Margaret] Isn’t Emi’s birthday in two weeks? Maybe she can throw a little birthday party with her friends from school. [Amelia] You know what? You’re right! I’ll tell her about it later today.
