This feels very Finn/Rey to me. Vignettes from their pasts: small pleasures/wonders and casual horrors both. Then the present: two young people learning to live and discover things together. We conclude with the future: children of their own, memories and traditions filled with love and family, blood and otherwise.

I never cared about coffee shop aus before I worked at a coffee shop (meets bar meets movie theater?) and now I am thirsty for that trope but so many of them are...so........bad

They’re so unrealistic! I’ve never met any food service worker so happy with their job as the characters in a coffeeshop AU. Nobody bitches about having to come in at the asscrack of dawn to open, or stay late to close. Also they always date their customers! Yeah, you might talk about a cute regular to your coworkers, but getting together with them would be legit weird.

Friends to lovers or enemies to lovers?

I’ve never really been interested in enemies to lovers unless hatesex is involved tbh? And then I have to be in the mood for it. (I suppose that explains my complete and utter indifference to Harry/Draco, huh.)

Give me friends to lovers, where everything is newly awkward and A has to hide their feelings from B and their friends/acquaintances, but they figure it out and give A merciless shit about it. Also the agonizing of whether this will ruin the current relationship. That’s my shit.

Mostly it’s great, but Sam’s not going to pretend it isn’t hard sometimes. They have difficult lives. Which get even more difficult when Steve’s formerly brainwashed and now deprogrammed best friend who tried to kill them both moves in.
