Had a lot of inspo from Mr brightside when drawing this except the song is from eagles pov and he's baffled how his wife is constantly leaving him for a woman (he's like "the divorce came out of nowhere!")

Eagles wife x iimura

Wait here me out ok, I'm not going to get eagle cucked

This is a purely band au ship

The basis of this ship is that they meet at the Grammys or vmas or some music award thing idk, where iimura is an interviewer there and eagles wife was invited obviously because she and her husband are musicians

Iimura interviews her and they start chatting and hitting it off

Eagle is pretty comfortable with his wife hanging out with iimura because at least she's not gonna try to flirt with his wife...

Eagle goes to do what famous people do during these events idk, and his wife stays back to continue talking with iimura

By the end of their little interaction they're already shooting each other little glances across the room type shit

Iimura being iimura never acts on her feelings, and this spark is short lived

And eagles wife being married and loyal also does not try to further develop this relationship

Like they both feel it but neither want to pursue that feeling

I feel like it's more of a "what could have been" thing rather than me actually shipping them and stuff

It's giving smooth talker x person that reads too deep into words

The type of ship that ppl will take the image of iimura looking at eagles wife and caption "find a bf that looks at you the way iimura looks at eagles wife"

Or like ppl would use them as drawing references to draw their ships over them

But they don't actually interact other than that methinks

Also ik this type of ship could work with anyone and iimura but I feel iimura would actually be interested in eagles wife's story and enjoy how well spoken she is
