Almost drove my self to tears the other day thinking about how well sobeck and marian would get along And them being really supportive and sobeck letting his guard down around Mari And really hanging on their words and letting them mean a lot because he's a Tyrian. And the THING IS. By doing that he is making him self further from the thing that the person actually wants and thus dooming the relationship Like they started being with him because they wanted to be with HIM the way he is? Not some weird bazaaro version of what he thinks he should be to make them happy Well. Except when he was with lamiia she legit didn't want anything to do with the actual marian That's probably where he came from. She told him he was worthless and not right so many times and for so long he just assumes it's true and he thinks no one would actually want the real him because it wasn't good enough for her.

Some times I just think of dumb AU stuff like that joke AU me and Jett had were anthon was a crime lord and dragged marian down that path an it really just makes me realize like HOW MUCH of a door mat he is. I mean- of course he’s a pushover and hell do anything you want - But he like. Takes it to the next level and tries to mold him self into what he thinks you want him to be? Which is really HORRIBLY unhealthy? And he did it with Lamiia and I’m pretty sure if anthon showed interest he might do it more with him Tbh! That might be why he smokes around him? Or maybe not. Idk.

Marian is a wreck and needs to learn to not try to please everyone and just be happy with himself that’s the point.
