my new sculptures show human figures in motion, in unusual positions, with strange proportions, so this shows very good the emotions of the movement. I use papermachee, because only with this material I can make long and thin forms. inside the papermachee there is a construction of wire, that makes the sculpture very strong.

This is a young woman, sitting somewhere in nature, may be making a walk she found a place with a marvelous view over the landscape, the body sitting very relaxed, while her mind is attentive. This sculpture is made of wire (inside) and papermachee that has a dark brown colour and a coarse surface, that gives you the feeling of some distance . This figure makes the impression of strong indepedency.

"women outside", Marianne Roetzel

Sculpture: a steel framework and Aluminium clothing. These 2 women are made for standing outside, even in stormy weather. their expression is individual, I think, they are strong women but looking cautiously.
