“Carlos, I’m bored. Entertain your sister please,” Maria announced, flopping onto Carlos’ desk dramatically.
Carlos hummed, considering. "Have you ever heard of the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?"

Delayed Meeting
Alec had been so busy lately that he’d barely noticed that someone had moved in across the hall from him. Between taking care of his son and making sure his apartment didn’t look as if a bomb had gone off, on top of getting groceries and diapers, he was almost busier than he’d been before Max; and he was on paternity leave.
It had been a rough couple of days. Max wasn’t sleeping well, and that meant that Alec wasn’t sleeping well. He was tired, and he could tell that his son was as well. The man, in a final attempt to get Max to sleep, had stepped out into the hall, gently rocking his son as he paced up and down the quiet corridor.

Saorise was laying on the shore of her pond, soaking her feet timidly. Her eyes were closed, head leaned back, her brunette hair fanned out drying in the sun. Her eyes opened when she heard footsteps and she looked over curiously.
Two drinks and lots of dancing left Maria feeling almost on a high and very invested in getting December somewhere else for the rest of the night. "Come on December, your brother won't even miss you. Let's go have some fun."
December smirked, “Oh I know he won’t. I just hope he doesn’t bite some poor man’s head off.” She giggled and grabbed Maria’s hand, “lead the way, I’ll bail him out later.”
"Hey kid, you look a little lost. You need some help?" Maria asked, pushing her sunglasses to the top of her head.
Eleven turned towards the voice, and stared at the woman in front of her for a long moment. She didn’t say anything, only went back to looking around at their surroundings after a moment.
Maria knocked on the door of the London Institute, looming rather annoyed. She certainly did not need someone to watch over her as if she was a child and definitely not the nephilim but here she was for the afternoon.
Jem opened the door, blinking in surprise. “Maria.” He greeted, letting her in.
"Well, you're a strange one... why are you in my garden?" The wings behind the woman fluttered as she looked at the person sitting in her flowers.
Romulus ducked his head sheepishly at the sound of the other’s voice. He’d detoured searching for food, but only found flowers and improvised. “Uhmmm... would you believe I was doing landscaping?”
"Excuse me," Maria said as a man ran past her into home. "Can I help you? Excuse me that's my bedroom! Don't you have any manners?!"
“Sorry! So sorry!” Newt called over his shoulder as he continued to run further into her house. He knew it was more than rude to intrude on people like this, but it would have been much ruder if he hadn’t. Without even asking, he began to rummage through her drawers, seeming to be talking to someone out of sight. “Come on, this is getting ridiculous - you can’t just run off like this!”
