Marie had been summoned by Draven and it made her eyes nearly roll out of her head. She strutted into the bar where he had wanted her to meet him and placed her hand on her hip, “if you’re not buying from me this time, then you’ve wasted time calling me. I got shit to do.” She said sitting down across from him and ordering a drink. “I have some sells to make, so make this quick.”

Marie was laying out by the pool, blunt in one hand and a drink in the other. After the shit show that happened the last thing she wanted to be was cooped up inside. So she wasn’t. She was scoping from beneath her sunglasses. watching people who might be interested in buying from her. That was until Augustin came into the picture and sat down on the end of her lounge chair.

Her brow raised at him before she sat the blunt between her lips and lowered her glasses, “you got business or are you just here to ruin my day?” She said peeking at him and wondering just how to get what she wanted from him.

“Oh great.” She said rolling her eyes at the fact that Draven was making his way over to her. “It’s you again,” sarcasm in her tone as she practically ignored him once he came over in the middle of a transaction. It was like he was trying to catch her now. Especially since she hadn’t taken his offer yet, and she didn’t have any plans of doing so. “What do you want. I have things to do.” She looked him up and down and scrunched her nose, “and they don’t involve you.”

After Rowan’s engagement announcement and discussion with her before the brawl broke out Marie had decided she needed to fix some things she had potential harmed. One starting with Nate.

“Come in.” She sounded from her chair before getting up to put the letters she had been reading over away for this meeting. She wasn’t sure why she didn’t like Nate. She knew she wasn’t a fan of Night Court, it was more jealousy because of their extravagance at times. They didn’t have better taste that Day, but they definitely didn’t mind the audacity to flash it around. She looked up and nodded, “It’s nice to get this opportunity to meet with you, Mr. Dubois.”

She stepped around her desk and moved to the couches, nodding at the one across from her but stopping him before he sat down. “I do believe I owe mostly your family and court an apology for my actions thus far. It has been anything but relaxing for me lately but it does not excuse my actions. I know I don’t owe you an apology personally... yet but I’m sure one day I probably will.”

She shrugged knowing she tended to pop off at the mouth several times. “I would also like to congratulate you on your engagement to High Lady Rowan.”

Marie stood watching the flames, the flickering red orange and yellow casting light on the sad and angry faces that had been at the party. Her brows pulled together as she looked over them before shaking her head. “You’d thing their whole family died in there the way some of them look.” Her thoughts went to her brother and she took a deep breath, expelling it quickly and sucking her teeth. “It’s just a fucking resort, these drunk asses won’t be worried about it in the morning when they’ve sobered up.”

Marie was staggering from the woods and she groaned at the sight of people hugging and crying. She rolled her eyes at it. Of course, a fire would break out. Alcohol and garden parties never mixed, especially not in this place. It felt like sometimes the world was against Luca and Raphael with all the bad luck they fell into. She was most excited for when Raphael found out about Luca and that brat, Baby. That she would want front row tickets too. 

But this, this she didn’t care to see. So she sat down on a bench that was on the outskirts of it all, not noticing the guy sitting next to her as she rested her chin in her hands and her elbows on her knees, “well this turned to a shit show faster than Luca and Raphael denying their dicks have touched.”

Marie was sitting alone drink in hand watching the debauchery. Rolling her eyes at the subs that threw themselves at doms. It was like the addicts that came to her for a fix. Desperate. It was an interesting show though none the least. Especially if a dom had their eye on a different sub. She tended to laugh out loud at those failed attempts. She never meant for it to catch the guards attention. 

She placed her drink to her lips, staring him down before pointing at what had just happened with the same hand that held the glass. “You know that shit was hilarious, and if you say otherwise you’re a liar.”
