*As the three other groups easily get swarmed by hunters, they stop fighting back, merely resigning themselves to their failure. However, in the last group, Daioro carries with him a signal jamming device, which he activates. His group takes shelter behind a dumpster, and they wait in the dark.
Meanwhile, Lantea wakes up, although she feels behind her to make sure that the money is still there where she had left it, and she smiles very faintly. She looks up at the driver, whose eyes shift over to her image in the mirror for a moment*
Lantea: Where are we?
Driver: About 50 miles west.
*She looks out the window, noticing a striking lack of scenery. Daibon, although it might be a large city, ends rather abruptly, instead shifting to nothing but trees*
Lantea: So many things I'd rather look at.
Driver: Doesn't get much better. From here to where we're going is all just trees.
Lantea: Well, I didn't pay for the view anyway.
*She looks back at her bag, then opens a side pocket, finding there to be a small piece of paper in it. She unfolds it, but the only thing on it is a crude drawing of a female phrygisian and the words "I know you said you wouldn't contact me, but I hope you're wrong". Her expression turns dark suddenly, and she tears the paper in half before tearing apart both halves with her albeit weak cryokinesis*
