BURN BABY BURN ft. @marifm

the first thing she registers when she opens the door is that it smells like burning. the muscles on her shoulders and calves ache. she really didn’t expect to come back to the dorm to this. “ what the fuck. . . ” there’s smoke everywhere. nina steps slowly through the hallway, dropping her bag by the doorway when she sees it. “ . . . is going on here? ” there’s a fire in the kitchen. more specifically, the pan and a bit of the counter was caught in the flames. and here was the stupid girl, mari, just standing them with a panic stricken expression on her face. she just about screams, “ han mari! ”

it begins slowly. the light casting over the room flickers once, twice. hyori too involved to notice continues scratching at her paper, trying to finish the homework she’d so eloquently forgotten to do in favor of watching decypher practice with the other trainees. so she was seventeen and maybe a little boy crazy, it wasn’t hurting anyone. the light clicks off and hyori’s heart stops with it. she yelps in surprise scrambling to find the light switch and let out a high pitched whine as it failed to turn on. she groaned groping around the room for a door and instead finds a person. she screams and then comes to her senses, but only after the screaming. “oh my god please save me it’s too dark in here. you’re not a serial killer right?”
