⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀but apart from just that, marilyn's found him in the same type of outfit nearly every time she's seen him. it always bothered her, not because she thought he was wearing dirty clothes, but rather that he seemed to be living the same day over and over again. either that or he'd sworn himself off of some things, most of which stay in his closet 'til marilyn gets her hands on it.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀" yes. i have, "⠀⠀she speaks with heaving breaths, all becoming shallower by the minute.⠀⠀" most of it is getting on your... nice floors, too. "

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀marilyn commends the stranger's mellow reaction; finding a woman dressed in a torn pink pencil dress, bleeding from the side of her stomach, just barging into your house for shelter is... unexpected for most people.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀her response seems comedic, but she speaks of it no differently than if she were reading off a generic newspaper headline. this sort of thing has become common in her jobs; the target tries to get away, fights back a bit, marilyn wins, but she's still left bloody and bruised. the only difference is that she wasn't too far from somewhere to recover. the fact that she found a random cabin in the woods with an actual person inside to hide in seems to be the most outrageous thing in her career... so far.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀marilyn stumbles on her feet a little; the pink tweed flats she had on a little while ago have been long gone, the sheer tights have so many holes and runs in them that they're nearly in ribbons. most of the lower half of her dress, that hasn't been ripped off or torn already, has turned dark red from blood (some hers and some from the other guy).

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀her teeth nip and pull at the black gloves on her hands, ripping them off before she shoves them into one of her pockets. she looks at the stranger again, raising an eyebrow,⠀⠀" would you mind being a gentleman and helping a lady out? "
