This recipe for grilled buttermilk chicken is the perfect mix of herbs and spices to make the chicken tender and flavorful. Since the chicken was marinated in buttermilk, it stays juicy on the inside while grilling and gets a tasty char on the outside.
Ingredients: 4 chicken breasts. 2 cups buttermilk. 1/4 cup olive oil. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon paprika. 1 teaspoon dried thyme. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix buttermilk, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the buttermilk marinade over them. Seal the bag, removing excess air, and massage the marinade into the chicken. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade and let excess drip off. Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165F 74C. Let the grilled buttermilk chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
