Watching !!! at the Blockley last night, I realized (1) Nic Offer dances like my 8-year-old (actually my wife pointed that out), and (2) I love Mario Andreoni’s guitar playing, which sounds a lot like Medium Medium’s Andy Ryder, which is probably not a coincidence since the whole “dance-punk” genre is a revival of the “punk-funk” or “postpunk funk” genre from the 80s, the gold standard of which is Medium Medium’s “Hungry, So Angry”.
