This is, in no way, final... I’m still on the hunt for better voice clips, but for now, here’s a vibrato test for MARIOLOID. I’ll soon update his voicebank when I have higher quality samples.

I’m still somewhat unsure of what his debut song will be if I finish MARIOLOID... what if I made his debut song “High Range Test” as a joke?
Thinking and working on the potential of a debut song for MARIOLOID, I’ve narrowed down several composers and songs to one composer and two songs; Mitchie-M, and the two songs to choose from are Burenai Ai De and Age Age Again. I’m leaning strongly towards Age Age Again, so once development on MARIOLOID is stable and somewhat complete, and if there exists a UST for Age Age Again, look forward to a demo featuring Mario!

The sound quality is somewhat low on the cartoons and more often than not there’s music or other people talking in the background, but I might could try that... but, the thing is, MARIOLOID uses only Charles Martinet’s voice version. UTAULOID creates the sound of a voice depending on the sound samples used, and that means Super Show Mario would be a MASSIVE change from the normal voice. Perhaps I could create a spin-off MARIOLOID voicebank, with Super Show Mario being a VB of its own.
I’m debating clipping syllables and sounds from things like promotional chats featuring Mario (perhaps the Gamestop preorder message for Super Mario Galaxy will do good!) since, despite the sheer amount of voice clips there are out there, there may not be clear samples of what I need for MARIOLOID. I may improvise for syllables like “re” with the beginning of “let’s-a go/le”, and try to find other things if I can’t get what I need straight.
I’m still not sure what his debut song will be once I finish him (if I ever do), but I’m debating beginning work on a Princess Peach and Luigi UTAULOID VB.
I’m working on an UTAULOID VB for Mario, working off ripped voice clips from games. This one comes from Super Mario 64′s “burned” voice clip and is a simple eight-note test ranging from G3 to D4.
