After Edward had become the Kraken again, he became very cold and distant. He regressed into the thing Izzy preferred him to be, but it was something Ed didn't like. At least not since meeting Stede. The other man had shown him things Ed didn't think possible, and that included love. But with that also came heartbreak, Blackbeard assuming Stede had abandoned him.
He had immediately taken to the high seas again, robbing, killing indirectly. Usual pirate stuff. As far as The Revenge went Blackbeard still had control of it, and he still had Jim and Frenchie under his command. However as time went on things were starting to become boring again, Ed eventually ending up at The Republic of Pirates. He needed a good drink, perhaps a fist fight or two. Maybe to share a bed with a prostitute? He still had needs after all.
All those thoughts and more ran about in his mind as he drank, zoning out looking at the new nose jar Jackie had. A small smirk formed, thinking that just for laughs he could help Jackie get some noses. Wouldn't that be something? The idea thoroughly amused Edward, the Captain making a mental note to bring it up to Izzy later. Because right now he was content to continue drinking, his ass planted on one of the bar stools. He sat in a way that he was leaning on the bar somewhat, his back facing the entryway of the establishment. After all, it wasn't like Stede was going to come walking through that door.
Jackie banished him, so even if The Gentleman Pirate showed up in the area he would be stupid to set foot inside again. Unless of course he had spoken to Jackie already, which could very well be a possibility. Ed and crew had been at The Republic of Pirates for a couple days now, some of them taking care of stocking the ship up of munitions and food. That and Ed was still working in redecorating the Captain's Quarters with furniture he liked.
As Blackbeard was just about ready to finish his drink, a couple men got into a fight as one thought the other cheated at cards. The fight came to Ed quickly in a manner that had one of then bumping into him. That caused Ed to spill the rest of his drink, and before he knew it he joined in on the fight. He was aggressively taking on both of the men, throwing punches and hitting hard. "Do ye know who you just pissed off?!" He growled.
