The fact that Evelyn and Marisol are so close after Marisol makes asswipe confess to the Powells gets me. Like can you imagine how much pain Evelyn was in after learning the people she considered best friends were the people who caused her son’s murder. (Not to mention they randomly stopped talking to her without a trace in the time when she probably needed them most) And then Marisol comes in and solves the murder of Evelyn’s maid but she kinda hates her for a number of reasons (part of me can also see her being jealous that she has a son who loves her and is ya know alive but that is angst for another post) and after the confession they somehow become friends because Marisol writes a book about Evelyn being a bitch and she Loves it. Like what if Marisol came back after turning in Nick just to make sure Evelyn was ok. She clearly would not be but she has a weird soft spot for Evelyn from the very beginning so she has to go help if she can. And they manage to get somewhat close even before the book comes out. Or Marisol shows Evelyn what she is working on with the book just to keep her company and she doesn’t think she needs the company but even if her marriage is the healthiest it has been in years she is still married to Adrian so she secretly appreciates Marisol’s stubbornness. And even if Evelyn doesn’t like Marisol’s friends she suffers through stories about them just to listen to her talk. And like yea they get way closer later when they live together but the first walls are destroyed way before that and oh my god they are just 😭🥹
