I was tagged by costumecanuck! So here's tonight's questionaire. Sorry this is so late, I only just got back from work!
Nickname: Banana, of course! Also Annabanana, Adi, and just plain Anna - my real name is longer and much more difficult to spell.
Birthday: I'm a twenties girl. As in early twenties. And feathered boas and sparkly dresses and Lindy hopping, but never Charleston.
Sexuality: Straight, but I crush hard on women with great taste in formal wear and bodies that can rock short shorts. I've never had the attitude for tiny shorts.
Height: 5’-3”. And that's stretching it. I am small.
Time zone: Science has no time zone. My days are measured in the doubling times of various bacteria.
What time and date is it there: Thursday, August 28th, at 11:57pm.
Average hours of sleep I get each night: My body loves 7 hours. If I'm taking care of myself properly, I don't even need an alarm clock - I'll just wake up 7 hours after I fall asleep. :)
OTPs: Ron and Hermione. Always. And James and Lily (does that count as an OTP?) and Elizabeth and Darcy and also Anne and Gilbert and Rilla and Kenneth.
The last thing I Googled was: probably something at work. I think it was "hcc38 atcc eagle's mem". The last search on my home comp was "mulberry silk". (It's divine, btw)
First word that comes to mind: Plum. No explanations for that one, guys.
What I last said to a family member: “Goodnight". That sounds boring. Do dogs count? Because if so the last thing I said was "Stop biting me, and get out of that nest!" which just conjures much more interesting images..
One place that makes me happy and why: Home, on my couch with the pillow from my bed and a giant mug of warm peppermint tea and an endless supply of crime dramas. The lab, super early in the morning or late at night when no one else is around to hear me sing at the top of my lungs. The beach, when everyone's there and the sun's high in the sky and the water is so warm that it feels like you're diving into your favorite pool or a bath or the arms of a friend. And in the middle of large hall just before a big event is going to take place. There's just so much energy and anticipation in one place that it's amazing.
How many blankets I sleep under: I keep my room very cold and use blankets to compensate. It just feels cozier that way. So right now, a sheet, a blanket, and a quilt. And yes, it's August in the United States.
Favorite beverage: A vanilla milkshake. Or diet coke. Or cold coffee.
The last movie I watched in the cinema was: The Hundred Foot Journey. I've been wanting to see this since notsomolly wrote about Halla and Michael's date to the premiere. Btw, it completely lives up to the hype and you all should see it soon too!
Three things I can’t live without: the interwebs, my book collection, and my baking implements.
Something I plan on learning: Flow cytometry. And how to make a merveilleux properly. And how to resist peanut butter chocolate ice cream.
You have to listen to this song: I must say, CostumeCanuck's Florence + The Machine’s “Shake It Out" rec is one of my favorite songs. But I also highly recommend The Civil War's The One that Got Away. I like most of their songs, but this one in particular seems full of the kind of tension that speaks to tragic lovers and ghost stories.
This was so much fun! Thanks costumecanuck! I've got to tag: 300poundcountdown, 4evrshoutmorgan, mariwhether, nootrishus, and hiddlestan-winterfrost
