Tears For Fears have finally unveiled the music video for their newest single “I Love You But I’m Lost”. This is the band’s first new track in 13 years.Speaking of the track, Roland Orzabal said: “This song is about the haziness, the blurred lines within a relationship, the sense of having someone and losing someone in the same instant; like putting your arms around that person only for them to instantly disappear into vapours, the idea or ideal of someone who is impossible to pin down or own.”
Interesting fact: Dan Smith of Bastille co-wrote the song and he actually sings on it too, but as Orzabal reveals, they haven’t told Dan that they left his voice on the track.
"Dan Smith from Bastille is singing on it, I don't think he realizes it but we kept it. We may have to pay him."
The song was born out of him and Dan having a sing-off and competing to be the loudest.
Explaining how it came about, Roland said: "We were asked to write with the band Bastille so Dan and Mark Crew, the band's producer, ended up in a small windowless room in Battersea throwing around ideas.
"And the words 'I Love You But I'm Lost' came out of the ether."
This is?? The softest thing?? I have ever?? Seen??? From Bastilledan’s insta story 12/12/17

So is it the end of era or did Mark Crew move the studio to another windowless basement so Dan can keep saying that all the Bastille songs are made in "a tiny windowless basement in South London where you can hardly breathe"
