In the first game of the ABL Championship Series the Melbourne Aces hosted the Brisbane Bandits. In the last two weeks, the Aces were not as good as they were in the previous weeks of the season. The Bandits on the other hand, got their momentum as they reached the play offs from a almost beaten position and beat the Adelaide Bite in three games.

Mark Hamburger Claimed by the Padres

A couple of days ago the Texas Rangers DFA'd (designated for assignment) relief pitcher Mark Hamburger. Well today he was claimed by the San Diego Padres and assigned to their Triple-A team. It's a good move for Hamburger because with all the great arm in the Ranger system...plus the rash of unforeseen injuries, there just wasn't any room for him. At least with San Diego, he'll have a better chance to play. Good luck in San Diego.

Rangers Designate Mark Hamburger for Assignment; Add Moreland to the DL

Today is the big day...the day many Ranger fans have been waiting on for about 4 weeks. Roy Oswalt will make is Ranger debut today against the Colorado Rockies. To make room for Oswalt on the 40-man roster, the Rangers decided to designate Mark Hamburger for assignment. Hamburger saw a little time with Rangers last season but has struggled in Triple-A this year. On the season, he has a 6.55 ERA and walked over 4 batters per nine innings. Mitch Moreland was also put on the DL. He is expected to miss 4 to 6 weeks with a strained hamstring.

He did a fabulous job closing tonight and is pretty good looking as well. Just another great addition to the sexiest baseball team in the MLB.
