012 Megan

Here is a ‪#‎socialportraits‬ painting created at Chinatown Remixed 2015. This one has an extra nice story to it. Chinatown Remixed was on the same day as Nuit Blanche Ottawa Gatineau 2015 and overlapped the event by a couple hours. I took this opportunity to paint Megan Smith, the curator of NBOG, during that time of overlap. The profile pic I chose was from the night of NBOG 2014. It's opportunities like this that continue to draw me deeper into this project.

From my sketchbook. Sketches from Dr. Sketchy's From Kiev with Love. The models did an absolutely amazing job; great poses, costumes and makeup. Still can't believe they did every pose with their eyes closed and giant eyes painted on their eye lids.
