[Free eBook REPEAT] Accused by Mark Toscano [Italian Mystery/Crime Thriller]
Accused by Mark Toscano, a pseudonym for Italian author Salvo Toscano is the 3rd novel in his Corsaro Brothers series of mystery/crime thrillers, free again for a limited time courtesy of publisher Head of Zeus' Aria imprint for digital first publications by newer and translated authors.
This was originally published in 2015 by Italian publisher Newton Compton as Insoliti sospetti, and is translated by Marco Condorelli. The series is set in modern-day Italy, centred around two brothers, who are a crime reporter and a criminal lawyer, respectively, and is very popular in its original country, said to have a literary noir flavour with many Italian cultural references.
This adventure takes place in Sicily, and sees the reporter brother finding dead a wrongfully imprisoned man he was intending to interview and is himself accused of the murder, which his criminal lawyer brother and a policeman must clear him of, by delving into the victim's past, which puts them on the dangerous trail of a prominent man's secrets.
