for curiosity, the movement that Serena used on Yuzu is pretty common in martial arts to immobilize the opponent. The animation was an epic fail there though XD

Arslan Senki is a really good choice! Arslan is similar to Yuya in many aspects, plus the loyalty his friends have for him is really touching. That, and Arakawa’s character design is always a plus too. In your akayona tag you also asked for an anime similar to it and, well, you just found one <3

ahhh i definitely can see the resemblance of yuya with his loyalty towards his friends!! it’s so touching and i can’t wait to see that expanded more ;; yesssss the character design is lovely and omg i’ve been thinking the same thing about the parallels with akayona!! daryun really reminded me of hak especially when he saves arslan like hak did for yona, and the plot itself where the prince/princess has their lives suddenly changed and they lose their royal position i’m so glad i found this series
