Techniques for Shading Alcohol Markers Get more out of your markers! Watercolor over alcohol markers is a favorite of mine!  I love how I can add cool shadows (like leaves!) on top of skintones without completely turning the figures into zombies.  I also love how a bit of granulation can really add a lot of visual interest to a marker piece.  Color pencil over marker was a technique I favored a few years ago- I just don't have the patience for color pencils these days!  What are your favorite marker techniques?
