Cardigan Round Up on WellRoundedNY!

Chances are you remember what your style was like when you first heard the opening riffs in Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit. Now that 90s fashion is back in full force, you have another chance to get your grunge on. Only nowadays, it’s less hole-ridden and more nonchalant-chic. A classic staple of my favorite fall trend is the oversized cardigan, which is the perfect transition piece when you are expecting your own little sonic youth.

1. Topshop In a few more months your parents are going to be grandparents, but that doesn’t mean you have to start raiding Dad’s closet for his sweaters. Cop the perfect Grandpa cardigan at TopShop with this knitted Angora cable-knit in bottle green. $96.00

2. H&M The uniform pattern of this H&M polka-a-dot jacquard knit would be a great piece to get daring. Pair it with a striped tee. $39.95

3. Rick Owens For the fashionista mama that defines grunge as just black eyeliner & messy hair, I present to you this draped-front long knit in superfine alpaca from the master of edgy layering Rick Owens. $810.00

4. J.Crew Classic This J.Crew Classic merino cardigan in an updated heather rose color is far from predictable. I love its extra-long length to accommodate the baby bump. $89.50

5. Aritzia Wilfred Free ORME I am pretty sure this Wilfred Free Orme wool and alpaca knit from Aritzia is the epitome of cozy. This snuggly sweater-coat would definitely require a fireside moment with some s’mores action. Seriously though, right? $185.00

Forever in Blue Jeans

I stopped into the Downtown LA headquarters of the Swedish denim brand Nudie Jeans Co to have a look at what they have in store for the F/W season.

One of my favorite aspects of my job as a stylist is getting to visit the inner sanctum of brands and designers. I was not disappointed when visiting this showroom, as it was filled with design books, vintage furniture and art.

I always fall hard for the offering of dark washes and clean lines and soft, but rugged jean jackets. Beyond the perfect pair of jeans is the passion that the brand brings to it's philosophy. Break-In, Repair, Recycle. It's all about wasting less and getting more.

I admit it. I have an addiction to my iPhone. It's awful and wonderful at the same time. If you also have this affliction that causes you to constantly check your email, instagram and tumblr then you too, need a snazzy case to help locate that extension of yourself with the quickness.
