SNAKE BITE IN FAIRVIEW CRES DIAMOND CREEK Unfortunately today on Fairview Cres Diamond Creek there was a suspected snake bite for a rubbish removal contractor who was potentially bitten unknowingly while doing his job. He works with his fiance in their own business together. The eastern tiger snake was then caught by myself and after applying the pressure immobilisation bandage and calling 000, we waited for the ambulance to arrive. The gentleman is now in good care on his way to hospital with his fiance by his side the whole time. Theyre due to be married this Saturday so lets all hope they tie the knot together this weekend. Don't mind me as I was shooting a documentary about tiger snakes, I look down to notice that the fifth most venomous snake in the world had crawled up my leg and was looking at me. Lucky this tiger snake is well behaved so I could keep talking during the filming. Never ever ever copy the actions herein. Tiger snakes are extremely dangerous. THANKS FOR MY FIRST TIGER SNAKE & THOUSANDS SINCE 6 years ago, I was a single dad with 5 girls aged 2, 6, 8, 10 & 13. My girls were all looking at me from the background as I charged into a Kinglake outhouse toilet to find my first snake. A few minutes later, I came running out with this tiger snake in my hands and successfully captured it without being bitten. My girls in the background clapping and cheering for me. 6 years later and I still have never been bitten. I have since adopted the name: "Snake Hunter", caught literally thousands of snakes in the local area and could not be more grateful for all the support of everyone in the local area who has called me to get a snake. Every day I walk down the street and someone tells me a story of a snake I have captured for them or their family. I have appeared in the media more than 100 times for different snake adventures, now train dogs to avoid snakes and do reptile shows and displays within the local community. Still today, I love what I do for "work" and still have a lot of fun when catching each new snake even if my girls no longer share my enthusiasm as they're too "cool" to come watch me anymore. I have received so much support and appreciation from my home town in Diamond Creek and local area and I could not be more grateful. COPPERHEAD SNAKE IN RESIDENTIAL FACILITY BATHROOM I thought I would get us all off to a great start this morning with the story of a snake in a bathroom . In a care facility, one resident went to go to the bathroom and found this lowland copperhead snake crawling about the shower area near the toilet. Alerting staff, they immediately contacted the snake Hunter and I attended straight away. Staff did a great job to keep all residents safe and to keep an eye on the snake until I arrived. Snakes can attend anywhere and this is the fault of nobody. I frequently find snakes in doors particularly on very hot days and there is nothing that you can do about it. if you find a snake indoors do not attempt to handle it. You put yourself at significant risk. TIGER SNAKE ON QUEEN ST CBD MELBOURNE In an alley just off Queen st some amazing construction workers found an eastern tiger snake. Calling in Melbourne's best known snake catcher, I attended straight away and found it hiding just outside the cinstruction area.
