Yet Dukat’s hallucinations are, canonically at least, because of the trauma of him witnessing Ziyal’s death. They manifest here almost like alternate personalities, and the writing isn’t exactly clear on this. I read them as specific parts of Dukat’s mind vocalizing themselves in these people. Damar was his most pure Cardassian side; Kira was his doubt and resentment; Weyoun could easily have represented indifference and violence.

... the real joy here is watching Dean and Claire, forced to spend time together, bond. It’s a totally common trope, and I don’t care because it’s a lot of fun.
But the true heartbreak here for me is Sam’s continued descent into this horrible lie.
It’s been a while since Supernatural genuinely shocked me, so bravo to Robbie Thompson’s script.
YES. YES. Gods, this was such a solid episode of this show. We’ve got worldbuilding for heaven, the brief return of Bobby (!!!!), and two parallel stories about desperation. SO GOOD, MORE OF THIS PLEASE.
