Mary had always loved the Leaky Cauldron. There was something so homey and nostalgic about the pub. It had been her first introduction to the wizarding world when she had been eleven and she could remember dining there with her parents for the first time. It had been one of the only times that her parents had been a part of this part of her life. After her attack they had wanted nothing to do with it, had wanted her to have nothing to do with it either. But she was glad that she had stood her ground.
Glancing around the pub looking for Marlene, she spotted her in their usual booth towards the back. It had been far too long since she had seen Marlene, which seemed to be a reoccurring theme with her. Mary really needed to get better at seeing the people that she cared for. Making a beeline for her friend, she smiled when Marlene noticed her. “Hey!” She greeted her happily. “I’m so happy to see you, it’s been way too long. How are you?”
