Sims 4 'Castaway' Lot Trait and Gameplay Trait [Patreon Early Access, Public Access 15th September]
Castaway lot trait: This lot holds an overwhelming atmosphere of isolation. Sims that visit this lot will become lost and confused!
On first arrival on the lot, you will receive two notifications about the Sim becoming stranded, and how they could possibly search for food and survive. The Sim will also receive one of 5 different buffs about how they are feeling after surviving the events that led to them becoming stranded.
Your Sim will receive a 'Castaway' gameplay trait from living on the castaway lot.

More info on the traits below the cut!
Sim will receive 'Isolating Atmosphere' +1 Dazed buff 24/7 whenever on the lot.
Random daily loot will give the Sim a random buff out of 7 different buffs about being stranded.
- 'Not So Alone' +1 Happy buff (being near a fellow castaway that the Sim knows)
- 'Fellow Castaway!' +2 Happy buff (being near a fellow castaway that the Sim does not yet now)
- 'Who Is That??' +1 Stressed buff (being near a Sim that is not a castaway that is a stranger)
- When loading a lot, or when the Sim travels to a different lot, the Sim will receive a random buff out of 5 different buffs that centre around how the Sim feels about losing their old life.
- 6 new interactions, 3 only for fellow castaways, 3 for other Sims. 3 of these interactions will provide a buff result.
- A buff when using a 'natural bush' toilet, when fishing, when sleeping in a tent, when harvesting crops and when planting crops.
- A buff of confusion when being on another other lot that isn't the Castaway lot.
The castaway Sim has the following changes to statistics:
- social need decreases 0.6x slower
- charisma skill increases 0.4x slower
- gardening, fishing and herbalism skills increase 1.4x faster
Things to keep in mind:
- every single person you add to the family when living on the castaway lot will trigger the two starter notifications again, which can be annoying. So, consider moving the family in exactly as you want them, and not moving anyone in after.
- the daily buff the Sim receives from being on the castaway lot will go onto every Sim living on the lot, and will be the exact same buff as it works as a daily schedule buff. I personally think this trait works best when playing with some Sim on their own, or multiple Sims but only really being active on one.
This was really tricky to do, if you have any suggestions please let me know! I hope you guys enjoy it! It doesn't add any amazing new gameplay into your game, but will provide a little bit of a storyline if you want to play as a castaway. The traits themselves only really add buffs and change statistics.
to think that i joined the simblr community and discovered ts4 cc for the first time not even two months ago and now i managed to share something of value with that community?!?! it’s a really amazing feeling and i’m absolutely thrilled that you guys are as excited about the invisibaby as i am 💛
hi! is there any chance you know if the trait randomiser will also be there when a sim ages up (eg, child to teen, so the new trait they can have can be a random one?) thank you!!
