And so far she’s been smart and that’s so rare in a YA book like gah I love rick riordan for that and every time I get to a new chapter I appreciate the humour so much more and you better believe I nearly spat out my drink when smart ass Percy called a chimaera a chihuahua hahahaha

Percy is adorable and the good thing is: he will never stop! Not. At. Anything. Sass master Percy Jackson won’t spare anyone with his sarcasm and his dumb comments and I love him, so so so so so so much. 

And Annabeth.. don’t get me started at my precious girl, I’ve rarely encountered a character that I love so much like Annabeth. She is witty and intelligent and fierce and vulnerable and a fighter and so much more. She is protective and knows her own strenghts and weaknesses and she knows how to fight and that it’s not always the only way and GAH I LOVE HER SO MUCH (also, you’re right, strong and smart girls are so rare in YA novels and she is a shining example of how to do it right)

Yeah the wildlife got to me pretty bad yesterday? Bullet ant bit me, fruit bats scared the living shit out of me (THEY’RE SO BIG?????) and I’ve seen a dead brown snake.. yeah. It’s great here ^^

I have but only just managed to get a few chapters though and how are you enjoying Australia?

Oh good! I really like it! I’m staying with great people and I haven’t really gotten around to make myself a proper opinion but I really like it!

Just will they save him!!! and the Clarisse just casual as you like ordering around dead confederate soldiers haha also the chapter titles still give me life like ‘my best friend shops for a wedding dress’ haha it’s golden ALSO WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PERCY TURNS 16!!! AND THE IF HE MAKES 16 PART WHAT IS THAT ABOUT!

And Grover I wanna wrap him in a blanket and tell him it’s going to be alright give him a hug and a aluminium can to munch on! and honestly that’s what I love about Percy so far his sass comes from such an almost defiant place that can be easily mistaken for inflated ego but no he just is a kid with no fucks to give about you and yours haha 😂 and that’s spot on about annabeth she’s such a great example of a well written character and I’m only on book 1 I can’t wait to see how they all grow

They will grow up so much, so fast. It’s ridiculous, seriously! And Grover... Wait for him to grow up, but yes, he is wonderful and seriously, in this series is not one character that’s not well written (although I can’t say much about their ethical backgrounds, but their personalities are so well developed and well written, I need to lay down a second)..
