Three useless headcanons I have about our muses

Betelgeuse knows how to sew by hand and has mended several pairs of Lydia’s socks, unbeknownst to her. (He hates the very idea of her feet getting blisters.)

Lydia has a not so secret…secret polaroid collection of Betelgeuse doing super normal activities. These activities include but are not limited to: putting away dishes, fixing the window latch in her apartment, pushing a cart in a grocery store, texting on a cellphone (badly), and holding a lunch tray full of food from the college cafeteria. They each have their favorite polaroid shot, but Lydia doesn’t know that Betelgeuse knows of the collection.

Betelgeuse secretly loves going shopping with Lydia, whether it be for clothes, food, entertainment, toiletries, etc. He absolutely considers these outings a date no matter how short they are. He finds all the new stuff breathers put out to be both fascinating and confusing, and loves to hear Lydia explain ANY of it to him.

“Psssssh, of course not!” Phantasia waved a hand dismissively. “Can’t get arrested for it! Now scoot over. You can be player one but I wanna be Yoshi.”

"Can you tell me where this room is?"

“Sure, sure, I know this campus like th’ back of my hand,” Betelgeuse said with a smile, taking the schedule from her hands to see what class she was headed to.”Oh, yer headed t’ th’ Digital Photography course.” He handed the schedule back to her. “That’s in th’ Media Building across campus. It’s about a 10 or so minute walk from here.”

“It’s on my way back to the Admin Building. My, uh, golfcart is right outside if y’ wanna tag along?”

"I have no friends, no hobbies, and no real purpose aside from earning enough money to pay rent in order to… exist, I guess."

     Betelgeuse peered at Lydia from behind a newspaper. He kept up to date with current events and happenings in the mortal world, even though they had no sway over his death because he liked feeling self-important. Evidently, sixty decades isn't enough to cure nostalgia. Even now, envy thrums throughout his fossilized bones at the sight of blood circulating under Lydia's white skin, tinging her cheeks peach. What he wouldn't do to blush like a schoolgirl! They have all the fun! Meanwhile, he's dead and ugly, and he can't quite figure out how to give the illusion that his hairline isn't running away from his forehead. Nobody finds it endearing when an old guy with worms bats his eyelashes at them. Now, if he were Lydia's age-

     Oh, that's right. She wants his wisdom. He'd been so occupied with his thoughts he'd momentarily forgotten all about her.

     Betelgeuse stares down the empty glass of his milkshake. He's thinking about ordering another one. Kind of awkward how they ran into one another at a grade-C diner; now she wants to vent when all he's thinking about are milkshakes.

     "Ya can always move back in with Daddy. That solves one of yer problems. Oh, n' by the way, if we're doing this impromptu therapy thing, I charge by the hour."

Headcanon: Every year, just for fun, Betelgeuse and Lydia attend the Winter River Fair just for fun. He loves winning silly prizes for her and playing sneaky pranks on the towns people, while Lydia takes little snapshots of their "date".

//HEADCANON ACCEPTED! He also probably secretly loves all the snapshots she gets, too! But, he won’t admit that...
