omg the flashback scenes always make me cry i swear…like when i think about a Marrin (Not sure what the other versions are) with an MC who went through that childbirth, and then Marvin dies/goes missing…Like he was so sweet and he cared so much…And then when the little one has abandonment issues made me tear up too! Really great job 🙏🙏

Marrin (Marren, or Marryn) are to date the character that has made me tear up the most while writing the story. Seconded not that far behind by... well... that's a touch too spoilerly, but suffice to say it is not the MC, the Child, or any of the ROs.

You want angst? Marrin's story will provide you angst.

I can't remember now whether it was on the discord or tumblr, but someone did once ask me what route provided the most feels, particularly in the pain department. Tragedies are just some folk's cup of tea, I suppose.

I gave this answer then, and I'll stick with it now. Have the Main Character have M as their past partner, then have them be missing, and for the MC to sincerely and openly miss/mourn them. The relationship between MC and Child does add context depending on the story you'd like to experience, but so long as those fundamentals are there at the heart of matters, you're going to be in for a rough old time towards the end of the story.

When we get there, of course.

After a long arduous journey our group landed in Nausica and found a familiar face in Aphora at one of the tea shops. we should hopefully be getting close to finding one of the original storied six and then possibly off to the mountains to get a Damascus steel sword! also staring Evie’s birb Avi who hopefully wont end up in any more bottomless pits lol

How does M enter into all this if we choose for MC to not having had any partner in life? I played the story for the first time and then came back to check the Tumblr and I'm seeing all these asks and thinking who is this Marrin 😅

That must have been quite the trip reading through all the asks about Marrin, Marryn, and Marren.

Possible Spoilers Below:

What you decide at the beginning of the story is how much Marrin involves themselves directly with the Main Character's life. That is to say, if you decide that they are not the Main Character's ex-partner, they still exist, and they still have a big impact on the story, but perhaps not as overtly as they would in the other circumstance.

That's about as much as I can give away right now without treading into major spoilers territory. Marrin, Marryn, and Marren matter, but you might not realise how much until you get to the end.

When it comes to the sibling choice does that mean they are 100% siblings or are they half siblings? Because when you choose the child as an orphan they have no relation to you at all so their parent(s) must be special in some way but in the aunt/uncle one the child is related by association through MC sibling so does that mean that the sibling or the sibling's spouse might be special, also when MC is mom/dad then the spouse is M so does that mean that M is special? Maybe got backwards and it MC

(2) Since M's role is different does that mean that M is the spouse of MC in parent route, M is the spouse of the MC sibling in the aunt/uncle/pibling, M is the parent in the sibling route possibility of relation to the Child(does that mean the child is a half sibling?), and could be the possibility of being the missing parent of the orphan route of the child. MC/Child role shifts in some way but the theory I get is that M could be the key to the role shifts because we haven't seen them.

(3) Sorry for the huge spam I sent with my theory but my overall theory with this story is the M is a parent to the Child no matter what role the MC plays. But the million dollar question would be what is M? So much mystery behind them but they have some sort of role yet not sure if they are even human for that matter. Maybe M is similar to K in someway possibly? I mean its not to odd to have humans be with supernatural beings. Ok just flopping around now cause M is really giving me questions! ^~^;

Right then, rather than go through that question by question, let me lay out the lineage of the child per route.

Biological Child Route:

The Child is the biological child of M and the Main Character, or M and Zephora, or the MC and Zephora dependent upon the choices picked during the dream sequence in chapter 2. The MC and M are always considered the child's parents, regardless of the ins and outs of surrogacy or lack there of.

Adopted Child Route:

The Child is the biological child of two individuals. Neither of them is M or the MC, and neither of them is in any way related to M or the MC.

Sibling's Child:

The Child is the biological child of the MC's sister, Setha/Sothia, and another individual. This individual is not M, and they are in no way related to M.

Sibling Route:

The Child is the biological child of the same parents that gave birth to the MC, be that as an isolate couple or using surrogates.
