Dracula's first fuzzy-wuzzy
Marsha Makes horror history
It was the pop musical "Hair" that first put American-born actress Marsha Hunt on the road to stardom.
After "Hair" came a star part in another musical "Catch my Soul", and frequent guest appearances on television.
Now Marsha, who is generally credited with being first with an Afro hairdo, has just completed her first film role - and in the process chalked up an unusual "first" in the history of horror films.
Cast as a hippie teenager in "Dracula Today", Marsha becomes the first coloured girl to fall victim to the snares of the notorious Count Dracula.
In the film she shares honours with those two well-known denizens of the celluloid horror world, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. the story is set in modern Chelsea.
On another side of her career, Marsha has made her first LP record and it shoud be released within a few weeks. She celebrated by taking a holiday trip to Los Angeles.
Always partial to trendsetting Marsha has taken a fancy to the slightly masculine styles introduced by some of the French couturiers. She is pictured in one of her favourite outfits, a grey woolen three-piece suit worn with a fitted white shirt and a satin tie.
"The idea might seem 'butch' to many people," she says "but I think it's smart and chic".
In the way of conventional feminine gear, her favourite is an ankle-length, off-the-shoulder dress in a shade of burnt amber. It looks great on her.
