---【♟】 The summer months were always the most unkind to the ghost trainer. It seemed that Johto only had two extremes, dead Winter, and blazing Summer, leaving very little time for Autumn and Spring. Morty wasn't very fond of Spring, but Autumn was his favourite time of year. The maximum of three weeks they got was just not enough.
Oh how he longed for the cool relief of Autumn to come and wash away the heat for the few weeks before winter blanketed the region in snow.
But even the sweltering heat couldn't stop him from training or wearing his long sleeved shirts and signature scarf. With gengar traveling in his shadow, ever faithful, Morty moved through Ecruteak, humming almost silently to himself as he passed people sitting in shops, enjoying tea, and having conversations with others.
Pain ripped through his forehead and he stopped suddenly, causing Gengar to pop his eyes from the male's shadow and look at his trainer curiously. Headache. Nothing new. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as the small vision passed. When he opened them again he glanced around, seeing the person from his vision. He sighed in annoyance and walked over to them, picking up their dropped item and holding it out. "If you are not more careful, you're going to get robbed." He said, rather bluntly. Ecruteak was beautiful, but that didn't mean there weren't thieves.
