The point of the night is to drink and be merry, but Reina can only mingle for so long until she begins to feel irritated by the company of everyone around her. She’s just about over talking to people, at least for the time being, but for some reason she decides to make an exception when she spots Mars Bender. “Marshall,” she greets him, not exactly smiling but at least there’s no hostility in her tone. “I hope you’re behaving yourself — and keeping Miles in check.” It’s sad that Reina has to rely on Miles’s friends to make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid considering he is grown, but he’s not exactly the most mature for his age. Marshall’s got a good head on his shoulders, at least as far as Reina’s seen, so if she’s going to trust Miles with anyone she figures it may as well be him. “He was adamant on not coming tonight so if he tries to sneak out early, I’m trusting you to tell me.”
