What are your favorite Taobao stores?

This is probably not the answer you were hoping for xD but I don't have a favorite. If I shop at taobao usually I have specific items in mind that I search for, so shopping is more about the price and the seller's stats, rather than whole shops. I like exploring taobao and when I do I want to find unique items and not limit myself to only a few shops you know? D: However, I do think there are shops that cater to a niche and they do a great job at catering to that group. Those are the shops I look at and I think they would make good 'favourites'. Like bobon21, which caters to the himekaji niche or the sweet niche, AND is consistent about it year after year. You can find a TON of what you need in that one store alone , and that's what I think makes up a good store.

Other Shops I think are GOOD because you can get unique looking items/the interesting replicated items ...

What do you think of Gogol's newest album?

an excellent question, and sorry for taking so long to answer this!

honestly, i’m still torn on how i feel about it. i automatically love it just because i adore every single thing they do, but i am also confused on what kind of sound they are going for. when i started listening to them years ago, what really made me love them was their perfect mixture of punk and gypsy - i mean, eugene is the one who created their genre of “gypsy punk”. imo their best album is multi contra culti vs. irony because to me it is almost like the height of their sound perfection (this and super taranta!).

i really enjoyed transcontinental hustle but it’s where i noticed the lyrics and sound started to change. now, with pura vida conspiracy, they’re starting to sound more “gypsy” than “punk”, if that makes any sense. i know that this is a result of eugene’s living in rio and being an activist and all that, but i really miss their heavier, almost grunge-y sound instead of the more worldly, samba-type music they seem to be going after now.

tl;dr, i still want to make sweet sweet love to eugene and live as a gogol bordello roadie<3
