One of my favorite lyrical trends of the last few years is songwriters naming a song with some form of the word “Happy” and the lyrics crushing your soul:

Happier, by Marshmelo ft Bastille--a song about someone leaving their lover because they want them to be happier and they can’t make them happy. Do not watch this video if you want to actually be happy; it is about a dog that ends up dying of old age, and it will tear your heart out.

Happier, by Ed Sheeran--a song about someone seeing their past lover and wishing them happiness, very sad. I saw this on a gifset of Clace when she was dating Simon and it hurt my Clace loving heart.

Are You Happy Now? by Carly Pearce and Lee Brice--probably the least sad song of this list. It’s a double meaning in a song. They’re wishing the other actual happiness but also being a little bitter because of the end of their relationship. It’s quite a clever lyric. 

Happiness by Taylor Swift--This is about someone looking back on their relationship that fell apart and realizing that she was happy and that there will be happiness again. “No one tells you what to do when a good man hurts you, and you know you hurt him too.” hits like a gut punch.

SONA SPECIES TF CHALLENGE!

finally back to art!!! here's an exercise i just finished, my sona as 6 different species~ figured i'd draw my SELF self since i usually don't draw myself bc humans are BORING. lol

also sorry for the quality of those sketches, i'm just figuring out how to remove colors from traditional sketches in photoshop! really comes in handy for me since i sketch with colored lead! anywho will probably test out new techniques so stay tuned~
