Been a hot minute since I did a demi-personal piece (or posting here - hii... life got a little crazy for me for a while...)
Was coming up with how to do a current sketch sample for upcoming commissions, and this lass kinda invaded my headspace for a couple hours!
The resulting infospeal has determined the following information on her kind -
They're sapient marsupials that are just Way Too Curious for their own good, and launched themselves artificially into the ranks of spacefaring races on the condition of too many incidents of stowaways on research vessels. It was unanimously decided after at least the hundreth incident to properly teach these guys about the 'Candy Van' phenomenon, and it just spiraled from there.
They are arboreal, decended from a gliding ancestor, and communicate primarily through barks, whistles, and chirps - though they are rather good mimics with a complex larynx and palette structure to compensate for lack of dexterity in the lips. Their culture is oral-based, and they are very musically inclined.
This particular lass is wearing minimal garb to account for needing to move relatively unhindered following her family (called a Pod) livestock, and most likely has more modest garb both of her cultural style and the growing trend of modern off-world style accoutrements.
No official name, or species name yet, but that may change soon!
